Continue your skating journey in this fun, family-friendly class for all ages! Designed for graduates of our Saturday Beginner’s Class (or by instructor approval), Sk8Skills builds confidence and technique through forward stroking, one-foot balance, stops, backward rolling, and corner crosses—plus games and tricks that make learning exciting. Earn official USARS Star Awards as you prepare for advanced skating paths like Artistic, Speed, Derby, or Groove skating!
What to expect at this event:
Sk8Skills focuses on mastering the essential techniques that build confidence and control on skates. Skaters will develop strong fundamentals—like balance, posture, and edge control—through fun drills, games, and skill progressions. Each lesson reinforces safe, efficient movement while preparing skaters for more advanced skating disciplines. Depending on the number of skaters, students will be separated into groups in order to facilitate more personalized learning.
Who is this event for?
Skaters with the ability to roll easily forward and ready for backward skating and turning.
